Guided Documentation (Updated April 2011)
Many people find that the most difficult part of entering a project in an A&S Faire or Tournament is creating the documentation. To help with this process, we have created a simple template listing the questions that your documentation should answer for the judges. One version contains a basic set of questions suitable for Faire documentation, while the other is slightly more in-depth to cover the information necessary to judge a Tournament entry.
Each template has a section at the bottom for a bibliography. While there is no one preferred style for documentation, we recommend using one of the recognized academic standards (MLA, Chiago, Turabian, etc.), as well as footnotes or endnotes to show which sources were used within your documentation. If you are not familiar with these formats, there are online resources that can automatically generate the appropriate citations from a book's ISBN number (OttoBib, for example). If you reference a website, please include a rough estimate of when you last consulted it, as these sources often change over time.
